Another cicada I cany ID :( I've added this one though as it was much smaller than all the others I've seen. Bodylength maybe a little over 2cm.

Habitat:

Open scrub near coast.

Fantastic! Thanks so much J. I don't remember hearing this one in particular, at that time of year, all you hear is cicadas, to the point where they are deafening! I'll certainly contact Lindsay Popple. Thank you! :)

Spectacular, Leanne! This is from a genus of very small, similar cicadas. I'm not sure I can provide a species ID for you. Did you happen to hear it call? Calls are diagnostic for this species. The link in my suggestion is from an interesting website I found:
