The blubber jellyfish

Netrostoma nuda

Description:

smooth crown

Habitat:

Green island, Normanby island, Upolu

Notes:

Going to dinner as a blubber jellyfish involves finding where the food is most concentrated and then floating through it. No plates or knives and forks you just run into your food and then lick it off your body. The bottom part of your body is in fact covered with cells that shoot out hooks to catch the food and you have 8 mouths that are hollow and stretched out like arms to lick it up. You do have to be careful however, because if you float over the wrong spot fish and turtles will bite through you to eat your gonads (the white stuff inside).
