Red-breasted Merganser

Mergus serrator

Description:

A large diving duck with a long thin bill, the Red-breasted Merganser is found in large lakes, rivers and the ocean. It prefers salt water more than the other two species of merganser.

Notes:

The background was overexposed 2 stops in order to properly expose this dark bird. While it still has some exposure aberrations. I am quite pleased with the final result.
