Description:

The springbok (Afrikaans and Dutch: spring = jump; bok = antelope or goat) is a medium-sized brown and white antelope of south Africa It is believed that for the joy of living, the animals jump up and down like bouncing balls, stretching their front and rear legs simultaneously and bending their heads down. (called 'pronking').

Kalahari desert, red sand dunes, sparse vegetation and the dry riverbeds of the Nossob and Auob in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Notes:

Elegant creature, and "pronking" is a new word in my vocabulary. "Pronking: To jump for joy!"
