Thanks kdpicturemaker! It is actually an old moorish castle on top of the cliff, and inside the castle there is a wooden platform built specifically to see the vultures approaching and leaving the cliff at the front, on the other side of the river.
Sounds like a great 'perch' on the cliff for you to take photos from. You could imagine from these images that you are flying alongside them.

I take the photos high in a mountain summit that is in front of a cliff where hundreds of vultures have their nests. When they are using the thermal air currents to gain altitude they pass at very low speed close to the the mountain where I am waiting with my camera
