American Herring or Smithsonian Gull

Larus smithsonianus

Description:

Very large Gull-like bird. 22-24inches from beak tip to tail tip; 24-28 inches high.

Habitat:

Atlantic Ocean shore

Notes:

THis bird was alone and distinctively bigger than all gulls on the beach. No other individual like it on the beach. Was rather fearless allowing me to within 10 feet of it.

Thank you @Maria_dB I really like series shots for Noah. Almost always do. If you look at my spottings most are series.
