I'd love finding cattails as a little girl, cutting them and bringing them inside. Then a few mornings later, "POOF!" it burst open and my mom would be cleaning up seed fluff for days! hahaha! But she never complained. Moms are great! :)

This is either the Broadleaf Cattail (Typha latifolia) or the Southern Cattail (Typha domingensis). The photoshows the seeds coming loose from the flower
