Euricania fasciatus
Beautiful patterns on the wings which are transluscent. Bluish grey with white and black dots. Wing span: 10mm.
Garden hedge of hibiscus, lots of plants in the surrounding area, with larger areas of forests. Altitude about 5,000ft.
Spotted many like this one on the garden hedge of my in-laws' on a hot and moist day.
Thanks PaulDavis, Sunny, Viv, Daniele, JamesMcNair, LeaneGardner and Pam for encouraging comments!
Thanks Ashley and Team PN! During the weekend was out in the remote woods of Sikkim (exploring for more posts) so seeing the good news only now. Thanks a lot!

Ricaniidae, Euricania sp., cannot tell you for sure which species. Euricania fasciatus is almost identical, but I am not sure if this species is reported from India. Sikkim and Yunnan are not so far away. Euricania ocellatus is reported from India, but has as its name indicates quite a large "ocellus"/eye in the middle of the forewing, which yours has not.
