A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Archosargus probatocephalus
found in coastal waters along the western Atlantic, but the greatest concentration is around southwest Florida.
There were about 10 or so of these fish swimming around my legs (often bumping into me) as I stood in the waist deep water at the beach. apparently used to the beach goers they were not shy about swimming around the bathers. I also saw them nibbling things off of a rope that was placed on the beach to denote the boundary of the swimming area. I didn't have my water camera so these not so great pictures were the best I could do with my above the water camera.
