Welcome to Project Noah! Cool find!
Syrphid flies are also known as Flower Flies and Hover Flies. Many of them mimic bees and wasps, some even buzz like them but they are only flies and can't bite or sting.
Their larvae often prey on pests like aphids and the adults usually feed on nectar.
