Regulus calendula
The Ruby-crowned Kinglet is a very small passerine bird found throughout North America. It is a member of the kinglet family. The bird has olive-green plumage with two white wing bars and a white eye-ring.
On a rainy day it's hard to manage to get out in the field and even harder to manage clean photographs at either the cost of high ISO or low Shutter Speeds. This bird was photographed with my carry setup and old primary set up canon 7D with a 300mm F4 IS L and 1.4x TC attached. ISO 400 Exp: 1/80 F-stop: 5.6 Handheld out my window upstairs during the rain.

Thanks again guys. I was just happy to get a shot of something during this rainy day!
Gorgeous!
Beautiful picture.
Lovely!
Thanks guys glad you all are enjoying it! The weather has gotten significantly gloomier as the day progressed and the bird activity even in the yard had been reduced to nothing at present. Glad this little guy could keep me entertained for a bit!
Great capture Cody, fantastic photo, congrats and thanks for sharing
Great capture of the bit of red in its crown. I only get to see that as it attacks its image in my kitchen window. :)
