Description:

It is one of the biggest European hymenoptera, it can reach 4 cm in size. Females are bigger than males. They are black with four yellow fringes in the abdomen and dark wings .Females have a yellow head.

Habitat:

Spotted close to a brook in an evergreen oak and pine tree forest. Dehesa de Valdelatas.
