Description:

Bright pink flowers, pollinated by pollen collecting bees. Fern like, red tinted, leaves,deeply lobed . Plant family-Orobanchaceae

Habitat:

Growing in alpine tundra at approx. 12,000ft. Soil wet. Many elephantella plants growing by an alpine pond.

Notes:

Gets name from folklore related to lice.
