Frilled Dragon

Chlamydosaurus kingii

Description:

This dinosaur-like creature is found in Northern Australia and has a large frilled collar folded around its head which expands when frightened.

Habitat:

Usually found in small trees where it takes on this pose to camouflage as deadwood.

Notes:

This dragon was sheltering in an abandoned cattle station shed as a wildfire swept through the brush around it.
