Dusky damselfish

Stegastes adustus

Description:

Small fish, about 3-4" long, nipped at my hand. Apparently this territorial behaviour is common as the fish are guarding a patch of algae, their food source.

Habitat:

Coral reef, Roatan Marine Park.
