Thanks for those suggestions - it looks most similar to the Orange Pupa Parasite Wasp illustrated on this page to me, although as you point out John, at the size of the photo, it's hard to make out distinguishing details!

Ichneumonidae or Braconidae
I'm guessing Ichneumonidae, but I really don't know the groups well enough to tell them apart from that angle.
