Melanitis leda
Found on wall at night in the open air building I live in. Many of these type of butterflies - dark brown with spots - fly into this building, usually just before dark and stay all night, leaving in the early morning. They are fairly safe inside the building at night. They find a secluded place to roost where they are usually not disturbed, except by me taking their photos.
In a neighborhood with lots of gardens and trees around

Doing more checking, I think this one is a Common Evening Brown Butterfly. Can anybody confirm my ID? Thanks. Joe
