Description:

Short slender trees with lots of pink tubular flowers. Leaves are large and heavily ribbed. Blossoms are odorless.

Habitat:

Picture taken in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador.

Thanks you for checking. Snakes are my specialty. If it doesn't have scales, I'm guessing :-) The tree is only about 25 meters from the house. I'll see what I can do. Photo #2 has a close up of the leaves.

The leaves are wrong for fuschia. I tried google images, but they were no help.Perhaps if you have a chance to get a close up of the leaf?
