I think (think!) this is a kind of sedge... "Sedges have edges, and rushes are round. Grasses have nodes from the top to the ground..". Everything is groups of three... leaves, 3-sided stem, etc. Cool plants. DEFINITELY not sure, but maybe it';ll give you something to go on. :)
