Description:

These pair of willow ptarmigan is spotted while on a Denali bus tour. They resident birds in Alaska and is the state bird of Alaska. Since these pictures are taken early summer, the pair already started losing their winter coats.

Habitat:

They occupies subalpine and subarctic habitats.

Notes:

As deceiving as their look could be, they CAN fly.
