Description:

Habitat:

Trogon lodge, Costa Rica, 3300 m above see level, Mountain Rain forest. Deciduous or leaf lichens: The lichen is flat designed (portfolio) and is more or less loosely on the substrate. Morphologically the leaf lichens are very diverse and colonize different habitats such as on mosses, but also on rock. As with plant leaves of leaf-like growth optimizes light output for photosynthesis of photobionts. The growth zone is located on the "margins".
