Orthetrum brunneum

Description:

This member of skimmer family, Libellulidae, is present from North Africa to Mongolia. Approximately some 5 cm long, and all body, including eyes, is sky blue. Transparent wings, with brown pterostigma.

Habitat:

Very common in Mediterranean, I met this specimen skimming on lake waters full of reed vegetation.
