Hopefully, I found a key on them as a pdf from Sao Paulo University :-)

= Homalocerus xixim Bondar, 1947.

widespread in Brazil into Argentinia. Habits: unknown.
Probably, first live documentation of this rare insect.

Great spotting! Really uncommon insects, found nowhere then in southern S-America, and the Australian region (relict distribution, compare Marsupians).

This particular species mimics Lycid beetles - some of the Australian spp. do so as well:
