House sparrow (male)

Passer domesticus

Description:

A male in breeding plumage bringing insects back to his nest to feed young ones. I think he was waiting his turn - the female was already in the nest feeding them.

Habitat:

Spotted in a tree at a rest area in eastern Washington.
