Fragile White Mushrooms

Leucocoprinus fragilissimus (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Pat.

Description:

Four small fragile mushrooms, in the latter stages of existence and already starting to shrivel. One fruiting body was imaged, collected and measured. Cap flat, white, with partially upturned margin and small light yellow central spot, 20 mm diameter. Stem light whitish-green, nearly translucent, narrow, equal, hollow, 70 mm tall and 2 mm diameter with free annulus and apparently some white floccose material. Gills white, distant, probably free.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood on tropical upland plateau.

Notes:

Spotted in grass in a landscaped area at the base of a tree.

It's not very clear, but I think this is a Parasola Plicatilis - Japanese Parasol
