Description:

Oxythyrea funesta is a phytophagous beetle species belonging to the family Cetoniidae, subfamily Cetoniinae.This beetle is present in most of Europe, in the East Palearctic ecozone and in the Near East. It was spotted foraging on a daucus carota flower, near Tsagarada village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
