Description:

An attractive pea-like shrub growing to about 2 metres tall.

Habitat:

About 1 metre above high tide mark on a sandy beach. The area is within a bay but very open to the southern ocean.

Notes:

This plant has become a serious weed on the southern coastline of Australia although it is a horticultural plant elsewhere in the world. Native of South Africa. Also a weed in New Zealand.
