Common yellowthroat female

Description:

This is a first spotting for me of a common yellowthroat female. They are a small warbler that is plain olive brown, with yellow brightening the throat and under the tail. They lack the black mask of the male. It was spotted low to the ground in a small bush.

Habitat:

Swamps, marshes, wet thickets, edges. This female common yellowthroat was spotted along a marsh in a small bush low to the ground in Chesterton, Indiana.
