Taxodium distichum
There were several specimens like this one in Lake Chicot. About 2 meters wide at the base and surrounded by cypress knees.
Spotted at Lake Chicot State Park from a kayak.

Thank you Mark. Lake Chicot is absolutely amazing. It's the largest oxbow lake in North America. It was formed only 600 years ago. I did have a fun time kayaking there up until the winds started to blow in.
Impressive tree! Must be a great area to kayak.
