Perennial Flax

Linum perrenne

Habitat:

Open habitat. Grasses, wild flowers, sagebrush, scattered pines and aspens.

Notes:

While not a native this plant commonly grows amongst sagebrush. This individual was growing in a disturbed area next to the driveway. No sagebrush nearby. The vibrant blue flowers caught my attention every morning. By late afternoon I could hardly find it as very few of the flowers were left.
