Xanthoria parietina
A foliose lichen of pale green-yellowish-orange color, forming circular plaques (some 5 or so cm in diameter) on bare rocks. The exterior range of the circle is brighter in color, pale green-yellow and flattened, typically foliose. The central part is darker orange, where the fruiting bodies, in form of orange discs, are found.
Rocks in maritime pine forest, positions well exposed to sun.
