Shining Leaf Chafer

Description:

Fuzzy beetle with metallic green pronotum, head and scutellum. The elytra are black. The entire body has white hairs with the majority being on the underside and abdomen. The antenna end in in a fanilike shape with three lamellae.

Habitat:

Was underground near a pine tree. I unearthed two of them while digging. This genus is found in the western part of the US, west of the Rocky Mountains.
