Strange unknown organism found on tree stump. Appears to be some sort of fungus, but is stiff to the touch. Appears almost hairlike in structure.
Found on the stump of a scotch pine tree. It is on a Christmas tree farm, so is surrounded by scotch and white pines, as well as a few hardwoods.
