Description:

Bracket fungi growing in overlapping clusters over a large area of a fallen log. Caps approximately 2 cm wide and 3-4 cm long; upper surface white and velvety; stains yellow with KOH. Pore surface. Rubbery; red-brown; elastic and separates from cap; 4-6 pores/mm.

Habitat:

Growing on a fallen hardwood log in a moist, humid location in a hardwood/pine forest on a ledge above a creek.
