Great Grey OWL

Strix nebulosa

Description:

A large Owl with an average wingspan of 56 in. The facial disk is used to focus sound. Yellow eyed owls are not strictly nocturnal or nocturnal & crepuscular and have the most diverse feeding habits of the Owl families.

Habitat:

This guy and three others have been hainging out beside the road at our place. Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bay Ontario--- Ive never seen a Great Grey in my life. In the last few weeks Ive seen several and almost every evening.
