Great Bowerbird's Bower

Chlamydera nuchalis

Description:

I was surprised to see the bower of a Great Bowerbird hidden away in the tangle of the Kimberley's mysterious vine forests.

Habitat:

Vine Forest

Notes:

These vine forests occur in the narrow steep crevasses in the Kimberley Plateau where rain water collects and keeps these mini-ecosystems thriving in the dry season, they are almost inaccessible to humans without constantly chopping through vines and destroying delicate habitats.
