Mexican Spiny-tailed Iguana

Ctenosaura pectinata

Habitat:

prefer a rocky habitat with plenty of crevices to hide in, rocks to bask on, and nearby trees to climb. Introduced in south Florida, they can be found in beaches where they like to burrow in the sand.

Notes:

There were a number of these all along where the vegetation meets the sandy shore.
