Lespedeza cuneata
Plants usually single stems approximately 0.75 to 1 meter long. Flowers are white with deep pink-purple markings, solitary or 2 or 3 in upper axils; gives the impression of blooming evenly along stem (compared with Lespedeza virginica which has pink flowers that are clustered near the top of the stem) Leaves are compound with three leaflets; alternate; approximately 2-2.5 cm long and narrow. Lower leaves may have petioles 1-2.5cm; upper leaves sessile.
Growing in open area beside trail
