Bracted sida

Sida ciliaris

Habitat:

Grows naturally in the sandy soil of Hermann Park's Bayou Parkland, adjacent to Brays Bayou. Although we are planting prairie plants in among the oaks, many post oaks, to create a pocket savannah, we did not plant this. Also seen nearby, growing naturally was a native, tiny white Evolvulus (forgot the species) that also grows in sandy soil.
