Bombax ceiba
About 12 to 15 m tall deciduous tree, seen without leaves but in full bloom of large bright red flowers.
Very common throughout Rakhine state of Myanmar, often seen around temples and/or in orban settings.
These flowers are edible and appreciated raw, as a salad, in Rakhine; but are also used in preparation of some curries.
