Project Noah Nature School
Tachyglossus aculeatus
Short Beaked Echidna. Many can be seen in the spring months. Best place to search is grasslands where ants and termite mounds are prevalent.
Wow. Nice spotting!
Excellent. It's so hard to get a good photo, especially of the face, of this shy creature.
Last photo is amazing!
Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone
Hey Carol, not that shy in the spring months. Common around Southeast Australia. Not the greatest of eyesight either but will quickly roll up and hunker down to protect itself when it detects someone.
Absolutely Brilliant!!
Awesome series! Welcome to the Community Mike and Megan!
Wow! Fantastic spotting!
Fantastic series. I love these animals. Are they usually shy. Is this a rare sighting. Way to go. I love it.
