Mississippi Green Water Snake

Nerodia cyclopion

Description:

Olive colored body with bands on the bottom portion. This guy was pretty feisty, I was taking photos of him with my phone and he kept trying to bite my phone, which is how I got a shot like this. He never actually bit anyone though he had multiple chances to.

Habitat:

Found on the banks of Caddo Lake in a bald cypress swamp.

Definitely not, it would be a pretty dumb idea to hold a venomous snake! He was just a big bluffer, it was more funny than anything :)
