Red-bellied cooters have a notch with very prominent cusps on either side on the upper lip. I'm not really seeing that here. But the upper lip of your turtle isn't really smooth either, it looks to have a very small notch with tiny cusps. I wonder if it's just the angle making it look small? Rest of the body seems to match with red-bellied cooter, so if there are the only photos you have then I guess that would be my best guess too.

Is it perhaps a Florida Red-bellied Turtle?
