Jelly Ear

Auricularia sp.

Description:

Auricularia fuscosuccinea? I found one that really did look like an ear. Lower on the tree were the much larger, older ones, and the smaller jelly ears were higher up. They were covered in flies. At the base of the tree were these fungi: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/183...

Habitat:

Shady oak forest - Hogtown Creek at Alfred Ring Park
