Bubulcus ibis

Notes:

Cattle Egret are all white birds, but this one has a lot of dark feathers due to being a melanistic variant.

Stefania, I didn't know the geographic parameters of your mission. It sounds like all missions have to start out local before they can be global. I just found this out from ranger S Frazier here. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/195...

Stefania, thanks for letting me know about the new Egret and Heron mission.

Thanks Ken, it's always nice to see the variation that nature comes up with.

Very unusual find. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought that it might be an immature Little Blue Heron. But, the legs, bill, and profile all say Cattle Egret. I really like this spotting.
