Zonopetala decisana
About 18mm long.
Attracted to lights at night in camping ground.
Thanks Jakubko for ID. Zonopetala decisana (Walker, 1863) - another banded concealer moth. Very similar but different patterns to several others seen lately.
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/192... I think mine might be incorrect
Thinking about it more, Zonopetala decisana seems to have that brownish marking on the band right above the hook if the hook is present or not...
Yes, EOL does look even more off. :-(
The first photo in BOLD looks much like it, and it is a pinned specimen which usually means it is genetically tested.
You could just keep it at Zonopetala sp., until we can get another opinion.
It appears highly variable:

I'm not sure I would trust Wiki, but now I'm not too sure.
..and the EOL one is even worse!!!... sometimes I think someone's playing games... thanks again.
You are welcome, Argy! Don't worry about how long it takes, I'm on the weekend... ;-) This one wasn't too long, one of the easier Oecophoridae. :-)
Wow I think you've got it J... I really hope you didn't spend heaps of time. These can be so hard :-) Thanks.
Awesome! This was the only species I could find with the hook-like marking on the black marking.
