I didn't know planthoppers like this existed - at first glance you would think it was a beetle. Very interesting.
Awesome spotting! I checked all over, and there are apparently over eighty species of Hemisphaerius in southeast Asia, and they all are almost identical. Here is one very similar to yours labeled Hemisphaerius sp.:
