A large monitor lizard; prettily patterned.

Habitat:

On the Iguazu trail.

Notes:

The first photo was taken by my sister Dr Sutapa Ray who is happy for me to post this here on PN. The second one was taken (same lizard, my sister says) by my brother in law Dr. Arupratan Ray.I have his permission to post this on PN...actually it was taken to be posted on PN at my request. Tegus are one of the few partially warm-blooded lizards!
