Sunflower

Helianthus annuus

Description:

Bright yellow petals with a small brown center, thick stem, oval leaves.

Habitat:

Native to North America.

Notes:

We planted many sunflower varieties, this one along with a few others is the only one that bloomed. However, it didn't get as big as we hoped it would.
