Great Blue Lobelia

Description:

Perennial, about 1 to 2 ft. tall. Flowers resemble those of the Cardinal Flower but are blue.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Tamarac Visitor Center.

Notes:

It and several other members of the genus contain a toxic compound, lobeline.
